About

POSTECH Summer Program (PSP) is a great opportunity for students who seek firsthand research experience. Individual research and activities will allow students to explore the academic field of their interest and unique research experience during Summer.

Competitive Financial Support is ready for accepted students, and will receive Official Transcript of 1 POSTECH Credit and Certificate of Summer Program after completion.




Track

Exchange Track
Exchange Track is for students in POSTECH partner institutions and officially nominated based on Student Exchange Agreement.
Exchange Track Students are eligible for whole Tuition & Fee waiver and also receive the Financial Support from POSTECH.
Concurrent Track
Concurrent Track is for students in non-partner institutions or from partner institution but unable to be nominated due to limited quota.
Concurrent Track Students should be able to self-fund Application Fee, Tuition, and Program Fee.
However, those students will still receive the Financial Support from POSTECH.

Eligibility

Exchange Track Concurrent Track
Undergraduate & Master's Students currently enrolled & Nominated by POSTECH Partner Institution
Undergraduate & Master's Students currently enrolled in Home Institutions




Process

1. Prepare Required Documents & Submit Application

Students should submit application through our IR Portal with Required Documents. During Application period, student may receive system emails to supplement the documents. If you do, please ensure to submit the updated or revised one as soon as possible.

Students applying for Concurrent Track should pay application fee at this stage.


2. Basic Application Evaluation

After the Application Deadline, International Relations Office will start basic application evaluation which usually takes 2-3 weeks.

International Relations Office will not evaluate any of your academic or research potential, but will only check whether you meet the eligibility or not.


3. Student Selection by Advisor

International Relations Office will handover applications to each Advisor once we finalize the Basic Application Evaluation.

Each Advisor will review your application including CV, Coverletter, Recommendation Letter and else.

During this process, advisor may contact the student individually for a brief chat or interview.


4. Admission Result

Admission Results will be announced via email with Admission Package including Summer Student Guide.




Required Documents

   ○ Certificate of Enrollment

      - Should be issued within six months


   ○ Official Academic Transcript

      - Should be in English


   ○ Recommendation Letter

      - May submit up to three recommendation letters

      - Can be written from Home Institution Faculty, Professors, Supervisors, or any others who are able to comment on your academic & research goals and potential

      - Friends or relatives are strictly not allowed to write recommendation letter


   ○ Copy of Passport

      - Should be valid for six months from the end of the program


   ○ CV / Resume

      - No Specific Form required


   ○ Coverletter

      - No Specific Form required

      - Highly recommend you to focus on your academic & research background and the research area and topic that you are applying for

      - Feel free to present about yourself and willingness of the program participation
