Life at POSTECH
HEMOS & POVIS ID
With your HEMOS ID, you may log in to POSTECH's internal website called POVIS. This will also give you access to the campus facilities including library and the wifi service. The information on how to register for a HEMOS ID will be provided to students via email prior to their arrival at POSTECH. Students need their POSTECH Student ID and Schoalrs need POSTECH Employee ID number in order to register for a HEMOS. Non-degree students will receive their Student ID from International Relations Office, and for Scholars, please contact your affiliated department for the ID and more information.

Smart Card

Smart Card contains identity information of each student and scholar, and can be used for entering all buildings and facilities at POSTECH. Furthermore, for those students who receive scholarship from POSTECH and scholars (employees) can also used for banking service and as general debit card. On the following day after registering for a HEMOS ID, students and scholars can apply for their Smart Card with their photo at wpsc.postech.ac.kr. |

About PBUD
PBUD, an abbreviation for POSTECH Buddy, possesses the essence of being '벗'(Bud, a Korean word which stands for friends) and companions of the exchange students, supporting them through various aspects during their time in POSTECH.
PBUD is a Student Organization which strives to foster the adaptation of international exchange students to both Korean culture and university life through activities including dormitory application assistance, academic guidance, and orientation session. Furthermore, we passionately plan and execute a wide range of events and cultural experiences for exchange students to provide them with a glimpse of Korean lifestyle.
We are committed to surmounting linguistic barriers and addressing the difficulties regarding cultural differences between local and international students. The organization endeavours to alleviate challenges that exchange students face in academics and daily life, ultimately contributing to the formation of an international network within POSTECH. What We Do
We PBUD basically focus on meet-ups with matching group from exchange students but also operate several events and activities according to the set plans every semester.
The purpose of these is to help exchange students adapt to school and give more chance to communicate with Korean Students. Typical events and activities are as follows.
Other than internal events and activities, we also conducts sessions, campus tour, and else to international visit delegations that includes students for social networking.

PICL (POSTECH Institute of Culture and Language)

On-Campus Housing

Double Occupancy On-Campus Housing (Student Dormitory) is guaranteed for international students under below programs: ○ Academic Exchange ○ Summer Program ○ Global Young Leaders Program * If the student need or want their own single room, they should find off-campus housing by themselves. |
○ For Research Visit Students, they may apply for on-campus housing and will be accommodated if there is any vacant room
○ For Researchers or Employees, POSVILLE is offered to apply. Also not guaranteed

Off-Campus Housing
International members also have an option to live off-campus by finding the place of their own. They must visit real estate when looking for the place, and sign the lease agreement through the real estate agents, not directly with the landlord.
